Fighting Terrorism in the Age of ISIS

The Shirazi Foundation attended an event hosted by CSIS titled Fighting Terrorism in the Age of ISIS’.  A panel discussion was held  by experts that addressed topics regarding  ISIS, or Da’esh, and how they now control territory in the Middle East that’s nearly the size of a small country, some studies also further suggest that ISIS is now pushing into North Africa. The experts also analytically examined   the awkward style in which ISIS  advertises on social media which enables them the ability to recruit globally. Many resolutions were proposed including a counter narrative that focuses on peace building in order to foster change.
