Criminal Justice and Racial Inequality
In 2014, the unfortunate events of Ferguson Missouri ignited different reactions from both sides of the political spectrum, raising awareness amongst communities in various parts of the country.
In order to understand a conflict better, panelists addressed the broad question of “What do we do now? and How can we transition beyond these tragedies in Ferguson and New York into a robust movement at the local and federal level. The Shirazi foundation analysts on community interaction participated in this event to offer its views to panelist on new approaches to securing a peaceful environment inside a community as a whole.
