Chasing Ghosts: The Policing Of Terrorism Cato Institute

The Shirazi Foundation attended an event hosted by Cato Institute titled Chasing Ghosts: The Policing Of Terrorism. An expert panel presented their research on the programs put in place to counter terrorism and the cost associated with them. Experts pointed at whether some programs may or not be necessary, and whether or not  too much spending is dedicated to these particular programs. Experts also stated that fatality risk is lower in the US in terms of  terrorist threats.  Ideas were brought forth how does one raise awareness on whether it is too much funding going towards ghost terror  threats?  while trying not to clash with public opinion that not enough compassion exists in terms of the value of life.
