People United to Help Pakistan During Natural Disaster
The Shirazi Foundation calls for assistance to the affected people in Pakistan
The Shirazi Foundation asks followers of Shia Islam to use portion of their yearly Khoms ( religious monetary contribution ) to assist everyone who has been effected by the natural disasters effecting Pakistan. Since June 2022, floods caused by monsoon rains, negligence of respective departments, and melting glaciers have killed at least 1,128 people, including 340 children, and injured over 1,700 in Pakistan. In harsh times like this; it is duty of all of us to stand up for each other, help as much as we can and uplift the needy and effected people. Poor people and families who do not have financial capability are severely effected by natural disasters and often times the governments take longer than usual to address needs of suburbs and the areas where the poor people live.
We ask Allah to help all those effected by the natural disaster and hope people can united to relieve the sorrow and stress of recovery from each other. Neighboring countries also have the humanly obligation to help effected people and use the resources they have to uphold their humanly responsibility, as they do not know when a natural disaster may happen in their countries and they may be requesting help from other countries. We also ask generous individuals who have the financial means to step forwards and help rebuild the effected areas so people can return to their normal daily life as soon as possible. This call for help includes all charity organizations and entities who are considered independent or are structured as daughter organizations to Shirazi Foundation Inc.
