Shirazi Foundation attended an interactive conference hosted by the United States Institute of Peace titled Building the Programs That Can Better Build The Peace. The expert panel carefully explored the mythological vigor that takes place in the peace building process. How to comprehensively measure the successes and failures throughout different organizations who participate in peace building, and how do they effectively communicate that message among each other. The panel of experts also briefly put forward many challenges in the area of implementation. The question was asked as to what kind of civic education we in the peace building community are providing and stated that this kind of question plants seeds and can open doors how to measure successes and failures in the near future. Experts communicated that accountability will force organizations to document their actions even when they fail, but that there is not a standard procedure set in place to measure the findings and facts. Every situation in the peace building process is unique between those who are involved and should be viewed on a case by case scenario.
